My boyfriend and I’s anniversary is coming up so we were thinking about going to Chicago for the day but we want to stay for a night because we live three hours away. Problem is I can’t find any affordable hotels that a primary guest only has to be nineteen. I’ve tried hotwire, orbitz, priceline, etc. Any advice?

they are more likely to let 18 or older stay

a friend and i are going to Chicago and have rooms at the Embassy Suites downtown. he wants to take public transportation (with our luggage) to the nearest stop and then walk. i disagree, and would prefer a cab. he’s a penny pincher; roughly how much would fare be from the airport to downtown?

I’m looking for a hotel in Chicago that is in a great location (like on Michigan Ave.) and has amazing views. I don’t want to spend too much, but not a cheap hotel like Days Inn haha..thanks!!

The Hilton is nice. It overlooks Grant Park, Lake Michigan, and is close to the Museum Campus, Art Institute, and is on So. Michigan Ave. a short cab ride or walk to the shopping area.

We are trying to find the best way to the Intercontinental hotel from the airport.

If you want to get to the hotel doorstep, no you can’t take the L all the way. Take the Orange line to the Library stop then catch the # 146 bus at State and Van Buren. Go north to Michigan & Hubbard (Tribune Bldg.) then walk about 1 block north to the hotel.

hostel in congress ave( downtown, 1.5 block to subway) $ 38 per night, 6 people in one big room.

The first thing I will do is to attend concert at Arie Crown Theater(McCormick Place), then I will have the rest for free time that I may want to get around in downtown area for shopping & sightseeing(incl. miuseum) during the daytime, and dinning & partying at night, so on…

I just see so many hotels in the city but where do you think the best area to stay during these 5 days?
